While out on a photo shoot this past weekend, I discovered just how amazing almost leafless trees could look. In between getting the scenes I was supposed to be getting, I had time to grab a few shots that appealed to me.

I love how the deep shadows appear at the base of this cluster.

The light and sky variations over two days were quite dramatic at times.

Such beautiful colors by day.

Even more beautiful during the evening.

(Yes, they were laughing at me and “my trees”.)

But the trees sure made for interesting features at sunset, and I got the scenes I wanted.
