Sitting at a friend’s dock one day having a chat, all of a sudden, we saw this mother mallard duck and her ten babies coming toward us.
Three shots were all I took, as those little flippers move quite fast. I had my “almost fits in the pocket” Kodak zoom camera at the time; it was pre-DSLR days, and about the time I had decided a camera needed to be with me all the time.
What amazed me the most was how dramatically the angle of the light changed the photos as it reflected off the water. These were only slight turns I made as I followed the ducks with the camera.
Three exposures all taken one right after the other, all at 4:58 on a July afternoon.
By the way, aren’t they the cutest things?
