Signs of Spring

Purple Crocus

The birds have been singing, the sun is getting higher, the days are a bit longer, and as far as I’m concerned, it is spring. The crocus have popped their purple heads up to announce this fact.

They are not that much earlier this year; they usually appear by the last week in February.

A beautiful and welcome sight. Next up? Hyacinths and daffodils will be here before we know it.

Pretty soon we’ll be seeing boats in the water.
