One of the perks of going out on photo shoots for real estate has been getting to know about places that I never knew existed. Yesterday, I was thrilled to be taken to Peterson Farm in Falmouth. There is a very large conservation area near Woods Hole Road that consists of the Peterson Farm and Beebe Woods with organized walking trails on hundreds of acres. There is a town link to an informational site and trail maps here.

I read that the intent of keeping the animals here is not for their wool, but to keep the fields trimmed. They were certainly doing their job as we watched.

The coloration of this sheep is quite something; black and white legs with a coat of tan?

When we arrived, this curious little one was across the field, slowly ventured to hide beside a wheelbarrow, then came as near as this water trough – keeping an eye on us the entire time.

It’s hard to see, but this grass covered one has his black tongue sticking out.

Still making sure we are in sight….

It was a beautiful day to discover this Falmouth hidden gem.

The trails look to be well used; we did spot a runner across the fields.

The farm is marked with this sign at McCallum Drive. Other access spots for Beebe Woods can be found here.
A spot well worth a visit.
One of those sheep looks like it lost its’ pants! lol
I agree! He also looks like he was tossed in the dryer!
