I can remember long ago being thrilled to see the Aleppo Shrine Clowns at some event or another. They are marvelous clowns, and were participants in the Falmouth Christmas Parade.
Here we have “Spike” on his own little car. I love seeing these grown men riding around on miniature vehicles.
The Clown Unit was organized in 1962 according to their website.
Color and smiles are what you see when they are coming down the street. The smiles from the observers, of course.
Here we have Angus and Happi Harri riding along waving to the crowd – who can resist these clowns?
The Aleppo Shrine Clowns not only attend civic events such as this parade, they participate in events to raise funds for the Shriners Hospitals for Children and other worthy causes. A very admirable group.
Their vehicles and gear have their own transportation – which also participated in the parade.
A fire brigade is a large part of their presence………
…and here we have the Cape Cod division as well….
…… including “Marine 1″.
A big thank you to the Aleppo Shrine Clowns for all the smiles you brought to Falmouth!
Stay tuned for more from the parade………..
